Marathon Center for the Performing Arts Names New Executive Director
Marathon Center for the Performing Arts (MCPA) has selected Heather Clow as Executive Director, following an executive search process led by Arts Consulting Group (ACG). She will begin her tenure on January 3, 2017.
Ms. Clow has been part of the leadership team of the Lebanon Opera House in Lebanon, New Hampshire for the past 15 years. She first joined the Opera House as Box Office Manager, was later promoted to Associate Director, and became the organization’s Executive Director in 2008. Ms. Clow is a past president of Arts Presenters of Northern New England and has served on the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts Touring Roster Evaluation Committee and the Vermont Arts Council’s Project Grant Review Panel. In addition to her arts administration experience, she has an extensive community theater background. Ms. Clow directed several summer community-wide musicals and was the founding artistic director of the Covered Bridge Players, a community theater based in Windsor, Vermont. She volunteers as an election poll worker and served on the executive director search committee for the Carter Community Building Association in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Ms. Clow received a bachelor of arts in theater from Saint Michael’s College in Winooski, Vermont and holds a masters in arts administration at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.
In making the announcement, MCPA Board of Directors Chair Dr. Katherine Fell said, “I am delighted to welcome Heather as our new leader. Her wisdom, energy, and experience will inspire a great future for the performing arts in Findlay-Hancock County.”
