Prior to joining Guild, he owned and operated The Ordower Group, an award-winning lighting design and technical management firm working in opera, theater, industrial, and event markets on four continents. The Ordower Group collaborated on numerous consumer experiences for clients, including Louis Vuitton, Kohler, Clinique, The Waldorf-Astoria, Verizon, and Vitamin Water. His design work has included projects for the Los Angeles Opera, Baltimore Opera, and Connecticut Opera. He has also worked in pre-eminent regional theaters in the United States and with artists such as Jimmy Buffet, Plácido Domingo, and the Radio City Rockettes.

Mr. Ordower has been a guest lecturer, panelist, and designer at Brooklyn Law School, Northwestern University, SUNY Purchase, and Columbia College in Chicago. He also is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. Mr. Ordower holds a bachelor of arts degree from Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois) and a juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School.

In making the announcement, Executive Producer Itamar Kubovy said, “Daniel is a rare gem who brings a masterful combination of strategic, tactical, overall creative thinking, and most importantly a genuine curiosity and keen insightfulness about what makes Pilobolus unique and how its uniqueness can be leveraged toward growth, thought leadership, and ultimately metamorphosis in the new cultural and business landscape we are in today.”

“I am thrilled to return to the performing arts community as a strategic voice for this renowned collaborative company,” said Mr. Ordower. “Pilobolus has infinite potential to continue its groundbreaking work and I am excited to work with Itamar and the entire team to realize a vibrant Pilobolus for the 21st century.”

“Congratulations to Pilobolus and Daniel Ordower,” said ACG Vice President Pamela A. Pantos. “ACG was thrilled to work with such a unique organization, and we were fortunate to place a candidate of Daniel’s passion and skillset in this strategic leadership position. We wish Pilobolus and Daniel all the best as they embark upon an exciting and pivotal time within the organization.”
