Donor Insights: Prospect Research & Planning

In the arts and culture industry, some think financial uncertainty is a fact of life. Our clients know better. Donor Insights is focused on providing services to arts and cultural organizations that have limited in-house donor research capabilities or have chosen to outsource this crucial function. Its primary goal is to help these organizations increase their contributions from individuals by researching major gift capacity and opportunities.

Our Donor Insights program starts with some of the most robust public data sources available. But with ACG, you get more than just wealth screening. You get hands-on assistance from experienced senior fundraising professionals in the arts and culture sector who can accurately interpret and use that data to recommend your organization’s best options.

You don’t need to buy new software, hire a full-time researcher, or train staff on yet another database tool. Simply reach out to North America’s leading consulting firm dedicated to the arts and culture industry. ACG’s Donor Insights Research and Planning Services can help you increase funding from individual ticket buyers, members, and other donor prospects and maximize your full donor potential year after year.

Arts Consulting Group (ACG) electronically screens the wealth of selected donor, subscriber, member, single ticket, or other connected individual records against more than 18 public information databases. When data is matched, the resulting information may report on the prospective donor’s financial position, community connections, board experience, property ownership, age, public and private company ownership, and political contributions, among other data points. It also rates the prospect’s propensity to give and affinity for your organization to achieve a balance of connection, commitment, and capacity. This information can be used to determine potential sources of new or increased contributed income from individuals in the form of annual, capital, endowment, or planned gifts. Your fundraising team will know who, when, and for how much to ask.

ACG obtains this data from its unique association with iWave Information Systems, a leading provider of donor research and prospect screening services, resulting in significant savings for small and mid-sized cultural organizations that otherwise could not afford these services independently. ACG team members have decades of experience with high-level donor research information, can analyze data, and deliver meaningful recommendations to jumpstart any giving program. See the back of this page for further details.

Once the research is completed, ACG presents your organization with an easy-to-use spreadsheet and reports including as much information on each prospect as available. The data can then be downloaded into your own fundraising system for ease of use by your staff. You have the option to implement the findings independently or ACG can help develop a strategic fundraising plan that helps achieve your contributed revenue goals.
