Annual & capital campaigns
Major gift strategies
Affiliated with ACG since 2014, Ms. Kulik has more than 25 years of experience working with a diverse range of arts and culture organizations to strengthen their advancement, communication, and management strategies. With an extensive background in development and nonprofit management, Ms. Kulik possesses both broad experience and deep understanding of arts organizations and the unique challenges they face.
Prior to joining ACG, Ms. Kulik led Boston Ballet’s development effort for seven years, doubling annual fundraising, implementing a capital campaign for production refurbishment, and working intensively on board engagement. As Director of Development with San Francisco Ballet, Ms. Kulik oversaw an $11 million annual fundraising program. She also served as Executive Director of Ballet Florida and worked with the San Jose Cleveland Ballet during the early years of its co-venture with the Cleveland Ballet.
“The arts are transcendent in their ability to inspire, uplift, and unite us, in good times and bad. Successful arts organizations remain strong and relevant to their communities by continually working to deepen and broaden relationships. This translates to a clearly defined advancement strategy and an institution-wide commitment to proactively build strong, enduring relationships that engage both the hearts and minds of donors — who invest because they feel connected, satisfied and enriched by the organization in return.”
Ms. Kulik has also held positions as Director of Development for the American Repertory Theater and La Jolla Playhouse. At both organizations, she brought leadership and focus to the fundraising programs during times of management transition. Additionally, she served as Interim Development Director with San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre and as Director of Development of Boston’s Huntington Theatre Company as it undertook the capital campaign for its new second stage facility.
Ms. Kulik has provided consulting services for George Street Playhouse, Boston Center for the Arts, La Jolla Symphony and Chorus, Malashock Dance, and Plimoth Plantation to define and focus their contributed revenue strategies. In addition to ACG’s revenue enhancement practice, Ms. Kulik has worked extensively within the executive search practice with such clients as LINES Ballet, Newport Opera House, Butler Arts Center, and Delray Beach Center for the Arts, among many others.
Her first career as a ballet dancer in the United States and Europe provided Ms. Kulik with a keen insight into the operations of performing arts organizations, both on and off the stage. Ms. Kulik holds a master of business administration from Simmons College School of Management.
