New Art Center in Newton, Massachusetts, has named Jan Taylor as the Director of Development, and Arts Consulting Group (ACG) extends its congratulations on her leadership appointment. She began her tenure on January 13, 2025.
The New Art Center is a community art education space which offers everyone, at all levels of ability, exceptional opportunities to make, exhibit, view, think about and talk about art. Since 1977, New Art has built community by lowering barriers to participation in the arts and integrating the experience of art into everyday life.
Jan Taylor joins the New Art Center with over 25 years of experience in leadership, community development, and nonprofit fundraising, including more than a decade as the owner of a fitness studio dedicated to fostering community and well-being. A proud native of Provincetown, Jan grew up immersed in the arts and holds a deep appreciation for creative expression, inspired by her grandmother, a celebrated local artist. She holds a bachelor's degree in theatre and a master’s degree in communications management.
"We have enjoyed working with Emily O’Neil, Executive Director, and New Art Center's Board over the past year to outline fundraising strategies for the organization's future and are thrilled to have Jan coming in to lead these efforts going forward." — Nan Keeton, Senior Vice President, and Todd Ahrens, Vice President
