Amanda Bertone joined ACG in 2015 as Marketing & Communications Coordinator and was later promoted to Marketing & Communications Manager. She brings 15 years of experience in management, marketing, public relations, sales, digital advertising, and website and social media strategy in the arts, education, performing arts, and retail sectors.
Managing ACG’s marketing and communications efforts, Ms. Bertone is responsible for the editing, formatting, and distribution of all content marketing, including Arts Insights, Executive Placements, industry surveys, and client proposals and reports. She led the firm’s rebranding efforts, resulting in a new website design, logo, and other ACG materials. Ms. Bertone also implemented a robust brand and style guideline to establish and maintain a unified firm appearance and voice. Additionally, she has helped enhance ACG’s visibility by increasing its social media presence and implementing advanced SEO strategies.
Prior to joining ACG, Ms. Bertone served as Assistant Director of Admission at Walnut Hill School for the Arts. In this role, she recruited and managed the admission process for hundreds of high school and summer students within the school’s dance, music, theater, visual arts, and writing, film & media arts programs. She also served as lead administrator for the 2013 and 2014 American Ballet Competition, oversaw the Dance Department’s annual national audition tour, and assisted in planning and negotiations for partnerships with both Ballet Austin and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. As the Primary Designated School Official for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program, she was responsible for processing and maintaining the immigration records of all international students. As a Dormitory Head for three years, she helped spearhead the school’s first gender-inclusive house. Ms. Bertone also has extensive experience in retail management, marketing, and sales, holding various leadership roles with major retailers such as Betsey Johnson, Neiman Marcus, and Max Mara.
A professionally trained dancer, Ms. Bertone began her early dance training at E. Virginia Williams School of Dance and José Mateo's Ballet Theatre. She later accepted a merit scholarship to Walnut Hill School for the Arts under the direction of Michael Owen, where she performed leading roles in The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, and other original works by Samuel Kurkjian, Diane Arvanites, and Samantha Shelton. Ms. Bertone spent three seasons with Tony Williams' Urban Nutcracker, dancing numerous principal roles. Her additional training includes The Boston Conservatory and Boston Ballet, where she also taught within the school’s City Dance program. Ms. Bertone has served on the dance faculty for Walnut Hill’s Community Dance Academy and Summer Youth Dance program. She currently performs and teaches ballet, pointe, and modern at various dance studios within the Boston area.
Ms. Bertone holds an associate of science degree in fashion merchandising and a bachelor of science degree in business management from Fisher College, where she was named valedictorian and graduated summa cum laude. She also earned a master of business administration degree from Endicott College.
