Dat Ngo joins Arts Consulting Group as Associate Vice President

BOSTON — Arts Consulting Group (ACG), the leading provider of hands-on management consulting services to the arts and culture industry, today announced that Dat Ngo has joined the firm as Associate Vice President to support the Executive Search and IDEAS practice areas. Based in ACG’s Washington, DC location, Ngo brings over 20 years of experience in arts education, program planning, strategic visioning, diversity training, executive coaching, and community engagement.

A trusted voice within the arts and culture sector, Ngo has dedicated his career to raising awareness about structural injustices and promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives. Ngo joins ACG following his tenure as Education Director at Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC), the longest running youth theater in the Washington, DC area. While there, Ngo introduced a wide variety of programs designed to incite creativity, ensure educational excellence, expand access to anti-bias learning, and support historically vulnerable communities.

Previously, Ngo spent 14 years at Shakespeare Theatre Company, serving as Associate Director of Education and Associate Director ofEngagement and Inclusion. In these positions, Ngo implemented impactful diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, and jump started the careers of over 350 emerging arts professionals through the organization’s fellowship program. An inspiring and committed community leader, Ngo has also previously fulfilled key roles at Sitar Arts Center, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, Coalition for Hispanic Family Services, Foundations, Inc., and Philadelphia Theatre Company.

With a diverse set of skills and experiences in education, community engagement, arts advocacy, training, curriculum writing, program development, and evaluation, Dat employs art as a vehicle for progressive change - whether it be at the individual, organizational, or community level. A first-generation Vietnamese American, Ngo continues to partner with organizations such as artEquity, American Alliance for Theatre and Education, and the National Endowment for the Arts in the fight for racial justice and accessibility for all who wish to engage with the arts.

Ngo holds a bachelor of science degree in film and television from Boston University.
