Georgia Institute of Technology has selected Daniel Patrick Parker as the Director of the Office of the Arts, and Arts Consulting Group (ACG) extends its congratulations on his leadership appointment. He began his tenure on July 8, 2024.
Founded on Oct. 13, 1885, the Georgia School of Technology opened its doors in October 1888 to 84 students. Throughout its long history, Georgia Tech has always focused its efforts on preparing students to use their innovative skills and strong work ethic to solve real-world problems and improve the lives of people around the globe.
A dedicated leader, Daniel Patrick Parker joins the Georgia Institute of Technology following his tenure as Production Manager at Theater Emory, Emory University. In this role, Daniel Managed four full-time production staff, temporary production staff, student employees, lab students, stage managers, and other overhire support personnel.
Previously, Daniel was the Director of Technical Theatre, Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts, in Mableton, Georgia. In this role, he Created facility programming for a new performing arts facility, including a 750-seat proscenium theatre, production spaces, dance studios, and FOH audience areas. Daniel also served as the Technical Director at Olney Theatre Center in Olney, Maryland. In this role, he managed all full-time technical staff, part-time over-hire labor, and three technical interns. Daniel holds a bachelor's of fine arts degree in Theatre Arts from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. Daniel also holds a master's degree in Performing Arts administration from Roosevelt University Chicago College of Performing Arts in Chicago, Illinois.
