International Festival of Arts & Ideas Roslyn Gilhuly Director of Development

The International Festival of Arts & Ideas (Festival) has selected Roslyn (Roz) Gilhuly as Director of Development, following an executive search process led by Arts Consulting Group (ACG). She began her tenure on February 8, 2021.

Ms. Gilhuly brings more than 25 years of experience in fundraising, donor stewardship, marketing and communications, public relations, and corporate relationship building to her new role at the Festival. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President, External Relations at Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut, where she oversaw all marketing, development, and membership operations. She also led the creation of organization’s annual report, implemented dynamic pricing on general admission tickets, and directed annual fundraising efforts, including grant funding from government, private and corporate foundations, and individual donors. Prior to her time at Mystic Aquarium, Ms. Gilhuly held roles as Director of Development at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Development Officer at Long Wharf Theatre, Senior Consultant at The Giving Collaborative, and Development Manager at Griffin Hospital.

Ms. Gilhuly serves on the State of Connecticut Eastern Regional Tourism Marketing Committee and is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and Association of Fundraising Professionals. A graduate of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and Connecticut Valley Chamber of Commerce Leadership Programs, she holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science and business administration from Boston University and a master of arts and international relations from The American University.

In making the announcement, Festival Executive Director Shelley Quiala said, “I can’t wait to work with Roz as we imagine the philanthropic future of Arts & Ideas! Her connections in Connecticut and New Haven, skill in fundraising, and passion for the Festival bring an ideal mix to the team.”
