Native Arts and Cultures Foundation Appoints Genevieve Borgeson as Vice President of Community Impact

Native Arts and Cultures Foundation (NACF) has named Genevieve Borgeson as the new Vice President of Community Impact, and Arts Consulting Group (ACG) extends its congratulations on her leadership appointment. She began her tenure on September 2, 2025.

NACF, established in 2007, is rooted in the principle of uplifting and promoting Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian arts and cultures. Located in Portland, Oregon, NACF has emerged as a pivotal national organization dedicated to advancing the appreciation and continuation of Indigenous artistic and cultural practices. Their mission is to advance equity and cultural knowledge, focusing on the power of arts and collaboration to strengthen Native communities and promote positive social change with American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native peoples in the United States.

Genevieve Borgeson brings a strong background in Native arts, cultural policy, and federal service to her role as Vice President of Community Impact at the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation. She joined NACF in 2025 after serving as the inaugural Director of Native Arts and Tribal Affairs at the National Endowment for the Arts, where she led national initiatives to expand support for Native artists and communities. Her federal service includes roles at the U.S. Small Business Administration, where she advanced access to funding and resources for Native entrepreneurs and artists, and at the Department of the Interior, where she served as a Tribal Relations Advisor for the Land Buy-Back Program. She also supported interagency efforts through the White House Council on Native American Affairs. Genevieve is an enrolled member of the Comanche Nation and studied at Yale University and the Institute of American Indian Arts.
