Overture Center for the Arts (Overture Center) has selected Mike Conway as Chief Operating Officer, following an executive search process led by Arts Consulting Group (ACG). He began his tenure on November 11, 2022.

Hailing from an extensive performing arts leadership background, Conway brings expertise in operations and venue management to Overture Center. His most recent role as General Manager at Live Nation in Indianapolis involved day-to-day oversight of the organization’s most successful theater and club-sized venue, Old National Centre. Conway facilitated the eventful Broadway seasons, including the 24-show run of Hamilton, while also managing the complex’s three performance spaces, attended by 450,000 visitors annually.

Conway has played a significant role in enlivening the Chicago, Illinois community across various performance spaces such as The Second City, Up Comedy Club, and 1959 Kitchen and Bar where he served as Vice President of Operations. In this role, Conway oversaw five venues, four bars, two kitchens, and 40 offices and directed the organization’s financial operations. He also guided the strategic planning of the capital improvement projects for the location and renovation of new and current facilities.

"I am thrilled to be taking on the role of COO at the Overture Center for the Arts, and I couldn't be more excited to collaborate with such a remarkable group of dedicated individuals,” said Conway. “I look forward to working closely with our shared leadership team to expand and improve Overture's programs, while also making a greater positive impact within the Madison community. It's an incredible honor to be a part of this outstanding organization, and I can't wait to help drive its continued growth and success."

“It was a pleasure to work together with the Overture Center’s board, staff, and artists on the search for a Chief Operating Officer,” said ACG Vice President Jenna Deja. “Mike will be a great addition to the team and his resourcefulness, expertise, and deep appreciation for the improvement of Overture Center’s facilities will ensure the organization’s long-term success.”
