South Coast Repertory (SCR) has selected Maisie Chan as Production Manager, following an executive search process led by Arts Consulting Group (ACG). She began her tenure on April 4, 2023.
Chan joined South Coast Repertory in September 2021 as Associate Production Manager, then was later promoted to the role of Interim Production Manager. She brings to the organization experience in supervising production processes, overseeing day-to-day operations, budgeting, and fostering unity across teams. Chan spent the prior 7 years in various positions for the Walt Disney Company. Her diversified professional portfolio includes licensing and marketing the Marvel brand, coordinating parades and proscenium shows at Disney Parks Entertainment, and managing talent auditions. Chan also coordinated performances for Disney Imagineering as an Entertainment Manager, supervising crew and performers and serving as a liaison with the Chinese government for the grand opening of Shanghai Disneyland.
Chan has two bachelor degrees in theatre arts technology and business administration management from Chapman University. She also earned a master of arts in collaborative theatre production & design from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England.
