The LACHSA Foundation has selected Trena Pitchford as Executive Director, and Arts Consulting Group (ACG) extends its congratulations on her leadership appointment.
The LACHSA Foundation's mission is to provide funding to the LA County High School for the Arts, a specialized, tuition-free public school open to aspiring young artists throughout Los Angeles County. LACHSA was founded in 1985 under the direction of the LA County Office of Education, and is located on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles.
Trena Pitchford joins The LACHSA Foundation following her tenure as Executive Director at Open Hearts Foundation, in Westlake Village, California. In this role, Trena was responsible for the implementation of the Foundation’s annual action plan including strategies in fund development, grantmaking and volunteerism programs, governance practices, financial management, and developing communication strategies and marketing in written print, web, and social media formats.
Previously, Trena was the Executive Director at Burbank Arts for All Foundation, in Burbank, California, where she worked directly with the Board of Directors to fulfill the Foundation’s strategic plan, led the implementation of each year’s action plan, including strategies in fund development, overseeing grantmaking to arts education programs in Burbank Unified schools, engaging the public in arts education advocacy, ensuring operations and financial management, and designing communication strategies and marketing. Trena holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts.
