Vanessa Giles (she/her/hers) is an artist and administrative specialist with experience in commercial and nonprofit sectors. She brings a well-rounded perspective to strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and advancement of the arts. 

Before joining ACG, Giles worked as an Assistant Buyer at S.L. Home Fashions starting in July 2023. In this role, she collaborated with global factories and vendors, contributed to the visual and material development of home fashion assortments, monitored production timelines, and collaborated with senior buyers. Additionally, she managed weekly inventory reports for over 100,000 monthly units, ensuring timely domestic and international shipments. 

From January to June 2021, she served as an Undergraduate Instructional Assistant at San Francisco State University. In this position, she analyzed and proofread student literary works, published weekly analyses for executive review, and provided undergraduate consultation and support for seminar discussions. 

While living in San Francisco, she also interned with the nonprofit 826 Valencia, where she dedicated her time to students in under-resourced communities. She facilitated storytelling workshops, supported curriculum design, and edited student writing for publication with the goal of uplifting their creative and expository writing skills.   

She holds a bachelor of arts in English from San Francisco State University, with a concentration in creative writing. She remains passionate about building community through writing, mentorship, and inclusive arts experiences.
