Wyona Lynch-McWhite

Wyona Lynch-McWhite (she/her/hers) has more than 25 years of experience leading art, university, and multidisciplinary museums. As Senior Vice President of Leadership Transitions, she has guided numerous executive search and interim management processes throughout the United States and Canada, placing executive leaders for a wide range of nonprofit organizations, universities, and government agencies, including UCLA, Harvard Art Museums, California Association of Museums, Alvin Ailey, Centre Theatre Group, Repertory Theatre of Saint Louis, Mass Cultural Council, Fund for the Arts, Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, and Creative Capital. In addition to spearheading the launch of ACG’s IDEAS services, Lynch-McWhite has conducted effective museum planning, organizational assessments, strategic planning and visioning, fundraising, and diversity training services for a variety of clients.

Prior to joining ACG, Lynch-McWhite served as the Executive Director of the Fruitlands Museum, where she led the organization through a strategic planning process and increased museum membership, attendance, and contributed and earned revenue. Under her guidance as Executive Director at Fuller Craft Museum, the museum completed facilities and capital campaign planning and was successfully reaccredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

Lynch-McWhite was previously a Director-at-Large and Program Committee Co-Chair on the South Eastern Museums Conference governing council and has served as a National Grant Reviewer for the National Endowment for the Arts and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. She has presented at numerous association conferences, including the Associate of African American Museums, American Alliance of Museums, and the New England Association of Museums. A 2006 participant in the Getty Center’s Museum Leadership Institute, she is the past Chairperson of the Leadership and Management Network of the American Alliance of Museums, where she also serves as an Accreditation Peer Reviewer, and as a past board member of the New England Museum Association. She has multiple certifications in the analysis of emotional intelligence, competencies, behaviors, and motivators from Target Training International. She is a Certified Diversity Professional. Lynch-McWhite graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science degree from Florida A&M University and holds a master of fine arts degree from Columbia College, Chicago.
