Pasadena Symphony & POPS has selected Andrew Brown as Chief Executive Officer, following an executive search process led by Arts Consulting Group (ACG). He began his tenure on November 13, 2023.
As CEO, Brown will manage the Pasadena Symphony, the Pasadena POPS, and the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestras. Brown brings a wealth of invaluable expertise with two decades of experience as a performing arts executive, poised to guide an exciting period of growth as the institution embarks on its 96th season. A seasoned leader, Brown most recently concluded a five-year tenure as CEO of Pacific Chorale where he led the organization through significant transitions and raised its artistic profile, including earning its first GRAMMY Award for Best Choral Performance.
Prior to joining Pacific Chorale, Brown worked for the Los Angeles Master Chorale under multiple leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer, General Manager, and Director of Operations. Brown holds a master of business administration and master of arts in arts management from the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University, and a bachelor’s degree in music education from Ball State University.
