BOSTON — Arts Consulting Group (ACG), the leading provider of hands-on management consulting services to the arts and culture industry, today announced that Jenna Deja has joined the firm as Vice President to expand the executive search and interim management practices. Based in ACG’s Chicago office, she brings more than 17 years of experience in cultural organization leadership, programming, strategic planning, marketing, and executive search. Ms. Deja first began her relationship with ACG in 2015 as a Project Consultant, providing professional interim management services to open and lead a new performing arts center. Developing diverse programs, increasing earned and contributed revenue, and fostering collaborative relationships with board, staff, and community are at the center of Ms. Deja’s achievements.

Ms. Deja previously spent 12 years at Chicago’s legendary comedy theater The Second City, most recently as Managing Producer. During her tenure, the organization increased touring production revenues by 85 percent, and Ms. Deja oversaw a $4 million facility renovation and revitalized ticket sales strategies resulting in 40 percent organizational growth in five years. She also established the UP Comedy Club, generating a $1.5 million surplus during its first three years. Prior to joining The Second City, Ms. Deja was a Senior Recruiting Agent at Aquent Staffing where she and her team consistently delivered the region’s highest annual placements and executive search revenues. Her expertise in behavioral and technical methodologies to source and place creative talent made her a top performer and trusted partner of both talent and clients.

In making the announcement, ACG President Bruce D. Thibodeau said, “We are delighted to expand Jenna Deja’s role with ACG and apply her vast experience and success in organizational leadership, executive search, and interim management. These skills, along Jenna’s extensive background in the performing arts industry as a presenter, promoter, and producer will greatly benefit ACG and its clients.”

“I am very pleased to join ACG and serve its North American clients based in the Midwest,” said Ms. Deja. “I know ACG’s services and resources will greatly benefit the arts and culture communities and I look forward to highlighting ACG’s expertise in executive search, interim management, revenue enhancement, facilities & program planning, and organizational development to cultural organizations of all sizes.”

Ms. Deja’s most formative experience in the arts was gained through her work at the Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia. Beginning as the Audience Services Manager, she held a variety of positions in development, marketing, education, and production before taking on the role of General Manager. She was also a team leader in the on-time and on-budget delivery of the Arden’s new $4 million 50,000-square-foot theater complex.

Artistically, Ms. Deja has co-produced The Art of Falling in partnership with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, which was named one of The Chicago Tribune’s 10 Best Theater Performances in 2014. She has co-produced more than 20 critically and commercially successful shows with some of the country’s most venerable theaters, including Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Actors Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Alliance Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Center Theatre Group, and New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Ms. Deja has served on the planning and management committees for the League of Chicago Theatres, Ronald McDonald House, Theatre Mir, and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. She holds a bachelor of arts degree, graduating with honors from Muhlenberg College.
